A family postcard. A place rediscovered.

Ten days in Glacier and Waterton, personally hosted by Stephen for two returning guests—and shaped around a piece of family history.

Chris and Gretchen had already explored Rocky Mountain National Park with Stephen. When their next park journey took them to Glacier and Waterton Lakes, they returned to someone who knew their interests and the pace at which they liked to travel.

Arrival arrangements

The care began before they reached Montana. Chris and Gretchen sent a grocery list ahead; Stephen bought the groceries and stocked their hotel room. He picked them up at the Amtrak station at 3 AM, brought them to their hotel, and arranged their rental car. Their first day could begin with the practical pieces already in place.

The care in each day

For ten days, Stephen personally hosted their journey through Glacier and Waterton. Full days of exploration followed their interests and wish list, including three private boat tours. At each stop, he dropped Chris and Gretchen off, parked the vehicle, then brought it back when they were ready. He arranged dinner reservations each evening and was available around the clock during this trip.

That attention to the ordinary details gave them more time for the places they had come to see. One of those places had traveled with Gretchen all along.

A postcard brought along for the journey

Gretchen brought an old postcard showing Singleshot Mountain from St. Mary Lake. Her father had sent it to her mother decades earlier. During their time in Glacier, Stephen located the exact spot where the picture had been taken. They stood there together, looking toward the mountain in the postcard.

It was one moment in a journey planned around the places, interests, and history Chris and Gretchen brought with them.

This story describes one personally hosted journey. The arrival arrangements, daily support, activities, and availability here were specific to Chris and Gretchen’s trip. Future journeys are individually proposed, with services, availability, and pricing outlined before booking.

Support hours and any around-the-clock availability are defined in each personally hosted journey's proposal.
